Changes in Windows v1.33:
- Added support for changing the sizes of
fonts used in the main Mobius UI. This is
considered experimental and must be done by
editing the ui.xml file.
Changes in Mac OS X v1.34/1.35:
- Restored support for multiple stereo input
and output ports in the AU plug-in. By default
the number of ports is 8. If you wish to
configure this go to the Global Parameters
dialog and enter a number in the "Plugin Ports"
field between 1 and 8. Entering zero here will
make it default to 8. Note that not all hosts
support plug-ins with more than one port - AULab
for example will refuse to install Mobius unless
you lower the port count to 1.
- Added early support for exposing Mobius
parameters through the AU interface where they
can be automated in hosts like Mainstage. By
default the input, output, feedback,
secondaryFeedback, and pan controls for the
currently selected track may be automated as
well as a few parameter values like quantize and
switchQuantize.
Mobius is a free
tool for live recording and manipulation of audio
loops, with features similar to those of the
Gibson Echoplex Digital Pro and the
Electrix Repeater. This is a live
performance looper, not to be confused with static
loop triggering and assembly tools like Acid. It is
similar to having 8 synchronized stereo EDPs with
the ability to copy loops and timing between them.
Extensive MIDI and keyboard control is provided.
