Noisebud releases HaasPan and pHaasE                              01st June 2015

Noisebud has released two free psycho-acoustic VST plugins based on the Haas effect.

This is a simple Haas panning plugin, it uses psycho-acoustics to make you believe the audio comes from either left or right (depending which way you pan).

In reality, the audio haven't moved a single bit, at least not in the stereo image. Check your stereo level meter and you'll find the energy is still exactly the same on both Left and Right channel. It only go as far as 11ms since Noisebud think it start to sound odd after that, in theory you should be able to use up to 40ms delay

pHaasE is a rest product from a series of experiments with the Haas effect conducted by Noisebud.

pHaasE delay the side information within the Haas time boundaries and totally screw up your audios imaging but will leave a totally new stereo image which might sound very pleasing both on single elements in the mix or in a mastering situation.

Both plugins are free but you are encouraged to donate to support continued development.
