Free Sonic Visualiser for Mac, Win & Lin updated to v3.1.1  16th August 2018

Sonic Visualiser, a free application for viewing and analysing the contents of music audio files, has been updated to version 3.1.1 for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

- Fix failure to record correctly into an empty session with certain audio drivers.
- Fix failure to run LADSPA plugins at all, except with some unusual path layouts.
- Fix failure to silence sonified notes when rewinding backwards or jumping back from a loop endpoint.
- Fix macOS .dmg image so as to use older HFS+ filesystem for compatibility.

Sonic Visualiser is an application for viewing and analysing the contents of music audio files. The aim of Sonic Visualiser is to be the first program you reach for when want to study a musical recording rather than simply listen to it.

As well as a number of features designed to make exploring audio data as revealing as possible, Sonic Visualiser also has powerful annotation capabilities to help describe what you find, and the ability to run automated annotation and analysis plugins.

Sonic Visualiser is Free Software, distributed under the GNU General Public License (v2 or later) and available for Linux, OS/X, and Windows. It was developed at the Centre for Digital Music at Queen Mary, University of London.
